World Water Day, 22 March, focuses attention on the importance of water. This year’s theme ‘Nature for Water’ highlights solutions for water challenges, which can be found in nature.
Today, over 663 million people globally are living without a safe water supply close to their homes, spending countless hours queuing or trekking to distant sources, and coping with the health impacts of using contaminated water.
The Australian government is committed to training and equipping African professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to make an impact within the water, sanitation and hygiene sector in their countries.
