Australia celebrates International Day for People with Disabilities in Africa

 

The Australian Government has been supporting International Day for People with Disabilities (IDPwD) since 1996. The Head of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Africa Branch, Adam McCarthy, said the government sought to empower people with disabilities through its aid program in Africa, including in its Australia Awards.
